🇫🇷 FRNetwork & Privacy
What Scheater actually sends over your network, in three factual, verifiable points — not another privacy policy, just the direct technical answer.
What leaves your installation
Exactly one thing leaves your network, and only to Lemon Squeezy (our licensing and payment provider): your license key and an instance identifier, sent on initial activation and then on every periodic revalidation, roughly once every 24 hours.
Raspberry Pi 4), not a serial number unique to your household.
That's it. The add-on makes no other outbound request to any third-party service, including to the software's author outside of this Lemon Squeezy channel.
What never leaves your installation
- No usage telemetry.
- No sensor data: no temperature, no window state, no power consumption.
- No heating schedule, comfort mode, or absence history.
All of this stays in the add-on's local SQLite database, on your own hardware — exactly like the rest of Home Assistant. Even the license key isn't kept in plain text in that database: only a hash of it is, for internal verification purposes. The plain key comes from the add-on configuration you entered once.
Where payment data lives
Exclusively with Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for our sales. We never have access to your card number or full banking details — see the details in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
