It applies to the Scheater website, licensing and support services, site analytics tools, and, where applicable, data processed in connection with the use of the product.
In the context of product use, Scheater is designed to process data related to your Home Assistant installation locally, unless a specific feature explicitly indicates an external transmission.
Data Processed
Data processed locally in your Home Assistant environment
Scheater may read and process locally, from your Home Assistant instance, data such as:
- Home Assistant entities and identifiers;
- sensor temperatures;
- zone and radiator configurations;
- heating schedules;
- comfort modes;
- absences;
- sensor or switch states;
- energy tracking data, if this feature is enabled.
Unless otherwise stated, this data remains within your Home Assistant environment and is not collected by the Publisher.
Data processed by the Publisher
The only data that may be processed by the Publisher includes:
- License data: purchase email address, license key, activation date, payment status;
- Support data: tickets, email exchanges, technical logs voluntarily provided by the user;
- Site analytics data: visits, pages viewed, navigation statistics, depending on the tools used;
- Payment data: processed exclusively by Lemon Squeezy; we do not have access to your full payment details.
Purposes of Processing
- providing and managing the software license;
- enabling access to paid features, where applicable;
- responding to support requests;
- improving the website and associated services;
- ensuring security, preventing fraud, and resolving technical incidents;
- complying with applicable legal and accounting obligations;
- sending product or marketing communications, only when authorized or consented to.
