  • The license is tied to your buyer account and/or your Home Assistant instance.
  • Any reproduction, modification, distribution, reverse engineering, decompilation, or commercial use of the software is prohibited without prior written authorization from the Publisher.
  • You may not resell, rent, lend, or sublicense the software without prior written agreement.

03

Home Assistant Integration & Configuration Responsibility

Scheater is a software assistant that integrates with your Home Assistant instance. It does not operate autonomously and depends on your local configuration, entities, sensors, automations, and hardware.

ℹ️
You remain responsible for the accuracy of configured entities, the consistency of your schedules, and the compatibility of your installation. Scheater does not guarantee continuity of service in the event of a network outage, a Home Assistant update, or changes to your home automation infrastructure.

04

Safety Warning & Disclaimer of Warranty

Scheater operates heating equipment that may have a direct impact on the comfort, energy consumption, and safety of your home.

⚠️
Scheater does not replace a professional regulation system, a safety thermostat, or a protection device against freezing, gas leaks, or electrical hazards.

The software is provided "as is", to the extent permitted by applicable law, without express or implied warranty as to its fitness for a particular purpose, continuous availability, or absence of errors.

The Publisher disclaims all liability, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for:

  • malfunction of your sensors, relays, or heating equipment;
  • overheating, under-heating, property damage, or loss of comfort;
  • excess energy consumption or abnormal billing;
  • fire, pipe freezing, or any other incident related to the use of the software.

This limitation of liability does not apply in cases of fraud or gross negligence, nor where mandatory law excludes such limitation.

07

You may stop using the software at any time. Where applicable, you may also request the deletion of personal data processed by the Publisher, subject to legal retention obligations.

These ToU are governed by Swiss law, excluding the Vienna Convention on the International Sale of Goods.

In the event of a dispute, and after an attempt at amicable resolution, jurisdiction is established in Geneva, to the extent permitted by applicable law. For consumers domiciled in Switzerland, mandatory rules of judicial competence remain reserved.
